Although Niemann-Pick Type A and Niemann-Pick Type B are related to Type C as all are in a family of disorders called Lysosomal Storage Diseases, they are quite different.  The Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation funds research related only to Niemann-Pick Type C disease.
